Verification
Safety is our primary goal!
The safety of our members and the smoothness of all transactions is our primary concern here at CitizenShipper. We want to do all we can to help shippers and couriers feel safe in their transactions and dealings.
Becoming a verified member is an important step in letting the CitizenShipper community know that your are serious about safety. When you see the green shipper with a green checkmark, you know that we have verified the name associated with the credit card used in the verification process. In the same way the physical address is also verified. By checking to see if a user is verified, you can be more comfortable that they are who they say they are, and that they live where they say they live. Verification also ensures that users are accountable for any damaged or lost shipments, and for any payment owed.
CitizenShippers are more likely to offer contracts to couriers whose name and address have been verified by us.
Couriers will be authorized to deliver packages requiring cargo insurance.
We rely on the support of our members to keep our website up and running effectively.
We encourage all our members to use our site for FREE, but offer verification as an additional safety tool. When you get verified, you are telling the CitizenShipping community that you are trustworthy. You are also letting CitizenShippers know that you are accountable for your contract.
Step 1:User has opened an account, but has not locked in name and address.
Step 2:Members name and address have been verified.
Step 3:Member has passed background check and is authorized to deliver insured cargo.

So what what exactly is verification?

Verification is an important element of CitizenShipper.com and it assists our members in developing trust and confidence in one another.

When CitizenShipper was first launched, many of our members loved the concept, but one question came up repeatedly: “why should I trust my package with a stranger?

To tackle this we came up with the idea of verification.

When you choose to become a verified member, we make a small charge to your credit card. Then, using AVS technology, we are able to verify a members name and address by comparing the details provided to us, with the zip code on the address.

In addition, we perform a background check on the member to insure that they have no criminal record. We do this for two reasons: i) To provide our members with that added confidence that they are dealing with reputable people and ii) This is a requirement of our insurance underwriters if we are to allow you to deliver packages where the CitizenShipper has purchased cargo insurance.

Ok, so what are the benefits of becoming a verified member?

Well, first off, because a verified member is considered to be a more trusted member among the CitizenShipper community . When other users click on your profile pages they will see your verification level as: Level 3. In addition, when you bid on a shipment, you will be bidding against other members. If you are verified, a large green ‘tick’ will appear after your name making it clear to the CitizenShipper that you are a verified member. Finally, you will only be able to bid on packages that are insured if you are a level 3 user.

Sounds good, I’m in! What’s next?

First we need to confirm that the address that you have provided us with matches the address on the credit card that you plan to pay with. Please click here to get verified.

I think CitizenShipper is a great site and really helps people to find driving jobs. It's easy to use and very streamlined. I upgraded to Level 3 membership and within a few days I had won my first job. Level 3 Verification paid for itself several times over and I recommend the site to anyone looking to make a little extra money. Thanks CitizenShipper!
